Positions have included General Manager Membership. Marketing and Communication for the Metropolitan Ambulance Service, Development Manager for the Royal Society of the Arts in London, Benjamin Franklin Centre Project, and lecturer in Communications and Public Relations, RMIT University.
She has held a number of senior marketing and management positions with Myer Grace Bros department stores and consultancies with corporate and not-for-profit businesses internationally.
Bernadette has particular expertise in arts and cultural marketing and strategic arts, culture and business partnerships. Her experience spans a range of cultural organisations and major events.
Memberships held include the Cultural Advisory Board of the Centre for Contemporary Photography, the Development Council for the Key Centre for Women’s Health, University of Melbourne, Councillor of the Public Relations Institute of Australia and member of the International Public Relations Association.
Corporate Arts Sponsorship relationships. Research on arts, culture and business relationships, including shifts and transformations in these interactions and emerging partnership models.
Bernadette has worked in senior management and consultancy positions in Australia and internationally, including Myer Grace Bros, the Metropolitan Ambulance Service and the RSA (The Royal Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce) in London. She has worked in the private, government and not-for-profit sectors, as well as in the university sector, as a lecturer in strategic communications and management. Bernadette has a long involvement in arts & culture research and management. She chaired a session at the International Association for Arts and Cultural Management (AIMAC) conference in Milan in 2006.
