Mariangela Lavanga

Mariangela Lavanga is post-doc researcher at Amsterdam Institute for Social Science Research (AISSR) - University of Amsterdam (UvA). Her research interests concern issues related to cultural and creative industries (CCI), urban (re)development, urban regeneration and policy. She received a PhD in Communication Economics from IULM University in Milan, a MSc in Urban Management from Erasmus University Rotterdam and a BA/MSc in Economics from Bocconi University in Milan.

She has been involved in several international urban comparative research projects on cultural industries. She has done researches for the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science of the Netherlands, EUROCITIES/EDURC member cities, De Stad (Amsterdam), DARC - Department of Architecture and Contemporary Art (Italian Ministry of Culture), Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo per l’Arte (Turin), Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Pescara, Ismez - Istituto Nazionale per lo Sviluppo Musicale nel Mezzogiorno (Rome) and Museum Image (Arezzo). She has collaborated with Euricur - European Institute for Comparative Urban Research (Erasmus University Rotterdam), ECF - European Cultural Foundation (Amsterdam), Lab for Culture (Amsterdam), Ebla Center - International Center for Research on the Economics of Culture, Institutions and Creativity (University of Turin), Goodwill (Bologna), Abruzzo Region and Osservatorio Impresa e Cultura (Milan).
